Tripinos invited to class mates birthday party at Greenwich Baths.  Luckily summer arrives in time - sunny and 28 degrees.

Last day of school, and we celebrate with dinner out.  For some reason, Thomas comes as Vampire Jedi Batman.

Monkey bars

Hannah has worked out how to the monkey bars, and it is now her favourite activity - to the point where she has blisters across both hands.  And still she keeps going......

Christina arrives

Today is Christina's first day at work - the new Au Pair from Germany comes to stay for the next few months.  Hannah seems to have adopted her as her own personal assistant, but the boys seem to be getting on okay.  This is Sunday, and Christina fights off the jet lag whilst Zach and Hannah try to 'do' her hair.   She had to decline when it came to doing the make-up.

Literacy day at triplets school, I sit down with Thomas to read "Sing Together". 

'Sing, sing, sing a song, sing a song together' (Good start, T).
'Eat, eat, eat our food, eat our food together' (Going well, Big Guy). 
'Jump, jump, jump to bed, jump to bed together' (okay, just the tuck in bed bit left).
'*uck, *uck, *uck us in... "STOP!!!!! THATS A 'T" NOT AN F!"

Off to Christchurch at ridiculous o'clock tomorrow. First time to Hobbit-land.

Helpful hands

Bless Hannah - today she helped me hang out the washing, swept up the leaves on the deck, chopped vegetables for dinner, and vacuumed out the car. Meanwhile, the boys sit inside watching Star Wars and playing Angry Birds.

I'm here all week....

I've had enough of this study into 80 year old twins that I'm doing. Same old, same old. It's better than that job in the textile factory though. That was sew-sew.

Umbrellas

Thanks to Aunty Caz for the beautiful umbrellas. It has still been 30 degrees over the last few weeks, but a storm at the weekend gives an excuse for a walk in the rain.

Post-birthday blues

Birthday party is over, and here are the results. There was a fight over who got to put the slot racing car box over their head. I stop asking.

Bunk beds

We finally had to get rid of the cot beds. The have stuck with us for 5 years, But I am finally running out of timber to screw together and the had to go. To replace them, new bunk beds plus a third bed. We couldn't get an agreement on who had which bed, so we go by a sort of rotation policy. The beds come with the phone number of casualty etched on the side.

Car repairs

"Torque wrench! Someone pass me the torque wrench!"

Doobie

The children have a project - to look after our friend Doobie for a week, writing a diary and taking pictures of his time with us. Two down and one to go as Zacharia takes over.

Royal North Shore Hospital

First Australian project makes the news!  Start of construction at Royal North Shore hospital - Arup are lead consultant, architect, structural engineers, facade engineers and all round great team. 

Worlds greatest dad

The "thing" of the moment is Angry Birds - new iPad at Christmas, and the boys in particular cannot get enough of it.

Saturday, and Kate is working. So drop her off at work with the tripinos, head home. Boiled eggs and soldiers for morning tea at the Breakfast bar. Hannah wants to do a wooden spoon puppet craft set that is hidden somewhere, but all I can find is an old pack with some scraps of paper and three spoons. half an hour later, we have three Star Wars Angry Birds wooden spoon puppets and three happy children.
